The Spokane Symphony has taken two of its popular non-traditional program and combined them for an exciting new musical adventure – Soiree on the Edge at Arbor Crest Winery on June 26 at 6 p.m.
At the Chamber Soirees in the Davenport Hotel’s Marie Antoinette Ballroom the audience hears small chamber ensembles in a more personal experience featuring performances of small groups of musicians of the orchestra. The Symphony on the Edge featured thrilling contemporary “edgy” music in the non-traditional setting of the Knitting Factory night club.
At Soiree on the Edge, you will encounter a melding of the intimacy of chamber groups with the invigorating sounds of the Edge, stimulating your musical taste buds while you experience the stunning hillside setting on the lawn of the beautiful Arbor Crest Winery. Among the works one will hear are Strange Humors by Mackey featuring African drum and string quartet; Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet by Hindemith; 6 Bagatelles for Wind Quartet by Ligeti and Salonmusic with
