The Spokane Symphony will present a special summer concert on Aug. 18 to honor some of the major events that make Spokane great. The Celebration will continue on Aug. 20 at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox with a free community day featuring live musical performances and family friendly activities.
Say WOW! Celebrating the Best of Spokane Concert
On Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m., the Symphony will celebrate seven successful Spokane organizations in a concert to honor those organizations and the people who make them great. Those organizations include: Bloomsday, First Night, Hoopfest, Lilac Festival, Musicfest Northwest, Spokane International Film Festival and Unity in the Community.
The concert, under the direction of Maestro Eckart Preu, will include audience favorites, including Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, Vivaldi’s Summer from the Four Seasons and an audience sing-along of patriotic songs.
To make the concert really fun, we will be showcasing each organization in video presentations during the concert. We are encouraging people to wear t-shirts, hats, jackets- anything that represents these great organizations.
All tickets for the concert are $20 and may be purchased at the Fox Box Office, by phone at 509-624-1200, at www.spokanesymphony.org and at all TicketsWest outlets. .Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 21, at 10 a.m.
