The B-52’s bring the party to Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox

Defying genres and entertaining millions with thrift store, 50s nostalgia get-ups, multi-platinum recording artists, The B-52s, have remained as fun as their classic party song “Love Shack.” This quirky, new wave pop band will be at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $39.50, $49.50, and $75.

Spokane Symphony Classics: Fantastique Opening

Maestro Eckart Preu leads the Spokane Symphony in a wonderfully captivating program, featuring renowned pianist Jon Kimura Parker as soloist for Grieg’s Piano Concerto. Two performances will be held at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m. A pre-concert talk about the music will be held in the hall one hour before each performance. Tickets start at $14. This concert is underwritten by Betty Kiemle.

Spokane Symphony Casual Classics: Beethoven’s Facebook

Music Director Eckart Preu and the Spokane Symphony pose a fascinating question: if Facebook had been around, what would Beethoven have posted about his new compositions Prometheus Overture and Symphony No. 2? Would Bach (Suite No. 1), Haydn (Symphony No. 38) and Rossini (L’Italiana in Algeri) have been on Beethoven’s friends list or would he have blocked them? Find out at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Friday, Sept. 23 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $10. This concert is sponsored in part by donations to the Spokane Symphony Annual Fund.

Gonzaga University Symphony Orchestra
