For Immediate Release

SPOKANE: Back by popular demand, Symphony on the Edge is performing Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Big Easy Concert Hall. Last year's sold out concert left the audience with a new energetic, exciting perspective of the Spokane Symphony. This year, Associate Conductor Morihiko Nakahara is preparing exciting new music with an edge.
Nakahara and the almost 50-piece orchestra will break the rules of dress and leave their tuxedo's at home, wearing jeans and polo shirts. You are invited to grab refreshments and listen to exciting music chosen to stimulate and excite the listener. Following the theme of Dance Mix, short pieces by Beethoven, Bartok, Rouse, Bruch, Piazzolla and other well known composers will cover a gamut of music with an edge of dance.
Concert lighting, video close-ups of the conductor and the orchestra will complete the rock-music atmosphere of this popular Spokane nightclub.
The all-ages non-smoking performance will include seating for all ticket holders. Refreshments will be available for this general admission concert. Tickets are just $27 each. Due to demand, Symphony on the Edge will be performing two concerts, Oct. 8 and May 19. Both concerts can be purchased in a package for $50.
Tickets are available in advance without service charge at the Spokane Symphony Ticket Office, 818 W. Riverside, Suite100, or by calling 509-624-1200. Tickets are also available at all TicketsWest outlets or by calling 1-800-325-SEAT or at spokanesymphony.org. Tickets are also available at the concierge desk at River Park Square.
