SYMPHONY SOIREE OFFERS BEETHOVEN, MOZART, BRAHMS AND FOOTE

SPOKANE In its fourth season at the Davenport Hotel, the opulent Chamber Soiree series has become one of the Spokane Symphony's most popular musical events. Set in the courtly and ornate Marie Antoinette Ballroom, listeners are invited to enjoy the musical experience while musicians themselves introduce the music. The next concerts in the series are on Wednesday and Thursday, April 19 and 20, at 7:30 p.m.

Listeners are seated at cocktail tables with wine and hors d'oeuvres. This unique setting provides a cabaret atmosphere for an intimate listening experience. The table seating is sold out but gallery seating is available for both performances. Beverages are available for purchase for those seated in the gallery.

The Chamber Soiree program features:
Divertimento No. 11 K 251 by W.A. Mozart featuring Keith Thomas, oboe, Jennifer Scriggins, horn, Roger Logan, horn, Tracy Dunlop, violin, Kathy Teal, violin, Angela Mitchell, viola, Sean Lamont, cello, Chang-Min Lee, bass
Night Piece and Scherzo for string quartet and flute by Arthur Foote featuring Tana Bland, violin, Gale Coffee, flue, Amanda Howard, violin, Claire Keeble, viola, Cheryl Carney, cello.
Trio C Major for 2 Violins and Viola, Op. 87 by Ludwig Van Beethoven featuring Shelly Potter, violin, Erin Held, violin, Catherine Shipley, violin.
Viola Quintet by Johannes Brahms featuring Kelly Farris, violin, Jason Bell, violin, Nick Carper, viola, Jeannette Wee-Yang, viola, Helen Byrne, cello.

Tickets are available Monday through Friday from 9:30-5:00 p.m. at the Spokane Symphony Ticket Office, at 818 West Riverside Avenue or by calling (509) 624-1200.
